Kiton is widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious names in luxury menswear and high-end tailoring, an extraordinary expression of Neapolitan craftsmanship and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.

Founded in 1968 by Ciro Paone in Arzano, just outside Naples, Kiton was created with a clear ambition: to preserve the great tradition of Neapolitan tailoring while pursuing the highest possible standards of craftsmanship, materials and elegance. From a small workshop, the company grew into an internationally renowned luxury house while remaining deeply connected to Naples and its centuries-old sartorial culture. 

At the heart of Kiton lies an almost obsessive attention to quality. Its philosophy is expressed by the celebrated motto “Il meglio del meglio +1” — “The best of the best +1”: the idea that even the finest result can always be improved. Traditional tailoring skills, extensive handwork and exceptional fabrics come together to create garments distinguished by remarkable softness, lightness, comfort and refinement. 

Kiton’s expertise extends far beyond tailoring. Over the years, the house has developed exceptional capabilities in shirts, knitwear, outerwear and luxury accessories, while investing directly in textile expertise and fabric development. Its dedication to fine materials is such that the company evaluates wool according to the original micron fineness of the fibre rather than relying solely on conventional Super classifications. 

Equally important is the preservation of craftsmanship itself. Ciro Paone established the Kiton School of Haute Tailoring to train new generations of artisans and ensure that the knowledge of traditional Neapolitan tailoring would not disappear. The school has already trained more than 200 young talents, many of whom have subsequently joined Kiton or the wider tailoring industry. 

Today, the Paone family continues Ciro Paone’s legacy, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovation and carrying the distinctive culture of Neapolitan elegance from Naples to an international clientele.
